Dear CHAVC Athlete and Family,
This summer has not been what any of us could have ever imagined, but we hope that you and your loved ones are keeping happy, healthy, and positive as we forge ahead.
What we know about this virus, and its impact on schools, work, and reopening seems to change day by day. However, as the beginning of the new school year nears, we wanted to give our CHAVC Community an update on plans for the 2020-21 season, programming, and gym facilities.
Over the summer, our CHAVC leadership team has been working on a 2020-21 Programming Plan for when we are able to resume normal (or as close to normal as possible) activities. This included an extensive “Pandemic Return To Play Plan” in accordance with USAV, NCAA, and CDC guidelines that addressed post-practice disinfection, and other safety measures to provide and healthy and safe environment for our athletes. 2020-21 Programming Plan Highlights:
• Pandemic Return To Play Plan
• Fielding 13 travel teams (including a new 11U Team)
• 3-4 weekly Volley101 training sessions
• A New Player Leadership Development Series
However, with CHCCS’s announcement that it will be extending its Remote Learning Plan until January (which impacts many of our current practice facilities), we have been actively investigating other options for our team practices and Volley101 training. As we learn more, we will provide you with updates and next steps.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we manage this very unexpected turn of events. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Your CHAVC Leadership Team
