Financial Aid

While we have always been mindful to keep our club fees as low as possible, we do understand that club volleyball can be quite expensive and not all families can afford the full cost of our programs.

In order to fully live our mission of growing and promoting the great sport of volleyball in the Orange/Durham/Alamance/Chatham County areas, CHAVC offers a small number of need-based grants for families who find it difficult to cover team fees.

Process:

Our financial aid process includes an online application and review process based on family income as well as other factors. Applications should be submitted prior to tryouts as every effort will be made to respond to your request before your player's commitment date. Aid is processed and awarded discreetly by our Financial Aid Committee.

Expectations:

All financial aid recipients are required to attend 85% of practices and all tournaments (unless there is an illness or emergency.) Recipients and their families must also abide by all club rules and policies, including staying up to date with payment plans. Failure to do so will result in loss of the financial aid.

Those receiving financial aid are also encouraged to give back to the club by volunteering on our social and apparel committees.

Additional Funding Source:
The OCASL Foundation is a local nonprofit that offers up to $100 per season for sport fees and also $100 for sports equipment (shoes, uniforms).  Please see their website at https://ocaslfoundation.org for more information and their applications.
